    If you get the chance try the Kala metal wound on nylon strings. They are different - not necessarily better.....

    The loudest acoustic bass guitar

    I was playing in the garage over the weekend and produced a new resonator bass with 21 inch scale. Still in the prototype stage so not sure of volume except it is louder than both bass ukes I own and has better resolution on the E string.
