    Huntsville area. Good upright bass players are scarce around here. Our current bass player wants to shift back to guitar. I think a good bass player makes or breaks the band. If I didn't have to play banjo and reso, I'd play bass myself. Love what it adds to the music.

    Hey all, Any upright players in north Alabama or south Tennessee with a desire to play some occasional regional BG gigs? We all have careers but are all seasoned competent players. Yes, they are paying gigs.
