I had to doublecheck to see if we had the same bass haha. I have almost the exact same, flamed neck and everything, just a Sterling Classic 4 instead of a Stingray. I can attest to how incredible the Classic 4’s are. This is my go-to bass! GLWTS

Now I'm curious as to what steps the big stores (i.e. Guitar Center) have in place to protect their instruments from flooding or any other natural disasters. Would be interesting to hear from anyone who works/has worked there.

I live in Houston. We didn't get any flooding (thank God) in our area but my bass is in a shop in an area that got hit hard. I hope they took the right steps to secure the instruments so I don't get an unfortunate call later saying my bass drowned D:

Why are you solely considering him to be a guitar tech just because he has worked on my bass? He could be an amp tech as well. You don't have to just be one thing lol. But yes, if he is solely a guitar tech and doesn't have expertise with amps, I will obviously search out someone who does.

The GC I go to has a legit tech. He's worked on my Jazz bass multiple times and seems to know exactly what he's doing. As far as his knowledge on tube amps, we will find out. If he doesn't know much about them, I will definitely seek out someone who does; I will not pay someone to just "wing it"...
