On the earlier versions that piece was actually part of the pick up, nowadays it’s just a string guard. I wish somebody would make a chrome cover to replace that piece that closes up the gap around the pick up so you could put your thumb on it.

Picked up a rumble 100 on the blackfriday deals for $260, Totally worth it. I’ve owned a lot of different rigs and I have to admit that thing holds its own. I got it just for knocking around with when I don’t feel like breaking down my Rig, but this makes me wonder about higher wattage versions.
