The pickup switches straight up don't work (not stuck, not gunky). That's the issue.

I'm not experiencing pickup noise. When the pickups are off, there is the distinct sound of static when I touch and move my hands across the strings. Pluck a string, no sound, because the pickups are off. Touch the strings, there's hum.

I just want to be clear. I'm not trashing anybody or anything here. I really think this is superb bass (I used in a rehearsal last night and it performed amazingly). I'm sure this is an isolated glitch with one button on one out of hundreds of basses, which is bound to happen at some point.

Re: the switches... mine were frozen and real sticky when I first played it. I had to push one or two of the pickup selector buttons harder than I would have wanted to, but it finally gave and now after playing for a while the switches seem to work mostly fine. They have some gunk on them...
