    I got this in a recent P-bass purchase. I bought a Fralin to go in before I even received the bass. The 1981 is nice and punchy and seems to have more output than the Fralin. I'd be equally happy with either but since the 81 is sitting on the bench it's up for sale. $110 OBO.

    Just checked out the serial number and it looks like it was manufactured in December of 98, made in Germany.
