I had a similar problem with the A string and just took a small piece of a post, put it under the string at the nut and problem solved. I'll have to take it to my luthier for a proper set up but at least I'm not out of comission.

Quick question, it seems the neck of the instrument is separating from the body. I'm not sure if its because I rasied the action quite a bit for the nylon strings or if it's starting to break.. Anyone have any similar problems? Pic attached.

It's a bit difficult to buy strings because I live in South America. I'd have to check shipping costs and see if the customs dont ripe me a new one. (Import taxes here in Argentina make everything cost double)>

Hey! I know I’m reviving an old thread but I recently had the same trouble with my Blady baby bass. You have to make sure the pickups are well adjusted. The baby bass manual explains how the system works. I had a humming and low volume problem as well. Cheers!

Why not use some old steels for the baby? I bought some old spirocore solos from an orchestra player and they sound tight!

I heard light gauge strings can give you a sound with more air similar besides being easier to play.
