I'm a simple guitar player looking to delve deeper into bottom end!
I've become increasingly attracted to rhythm section interaction, even when I'm in a guitar-centric mode.
For example: I've had the amazing pleasure to go to a few Michael Landau gigs and, while he's an incredible player, I was always alarmed/amazed by the interaction between Landau's drummer, Gary Novak, and the bass players. I've had the pleasure of witnessing Jimmy Haslip, Reggie Hamilton, and Andy Hess interplay with Novak from within 20 feet and now bass is my new Mount Everest!
