Is Walter Woods still making amps?

My high school used to play this jazz fest every year, and the house amp was a Walter Woods. It was sweet.

    Is the Magic gone?

I totally know how you feel. While it's not really a conscious decision, I've never learned how to play any of the songs on Revolutions Per Minute by Rise Against, which is the album that got me into bass.

    Rare P-Bass?

I don't know anything about the history/rarity of those basses, but my friend has (I think) the same thing in blue and it's phenomenal.

Anybody ever buy equipment without trying it 1st?

When I was looking into Jazz basses, I played a whole bunch at Guitar Center and decided that there was good enough quality control on the American Standards that I was comfortable buying one through a store on Ebay for a bit cheaper than GC would have been. I've also bought GK and Ampeg cabs...

Who started it all for you?

For me, it was Joe Principe of Rise Against. I was 13 when I heard Revolutions Per Minute, and it was the first time I ever consciously listened to the bass in a band. The tone on that album is just massive, and it's what really made me want to pick up bass in the first place.
