Absolutely. I suspect basses are pretty unique, otherwise no need for different sizes and adjustable feet. I've still got my bandsaw, files, sandpaper, and luthier ambitions :)

Levin S, yeah, I might just order a new bridge. Everything about this one is weird. Do you know the scale length off hand?

I put the bridge on the way it came and I saw it installed that way online. I also tried it both ways and it didn't work either way. If you're sure about that I'll give it another try the other way. Let me know. Thanks. "Awtba Luthier."

The first patch went flying under the string tension. I'll probably replace or make another bridge. The patch sets the G string back about 1/8 inch, but with that long scale length I doubt it will make much difference for now. I'll measure it. Besides, I need to learn how to play this thing.

I had no idea there was such an extensive thread on this so I'll show everyone the results. The verdict: from "the guy who always wanted to be a luthier." This Epi B5 is from the late 50's to early 60's. It had fallen out of a truck. The neck was crooked, the bass board was cracked, there...
