I am a total beginner on double bass.

I (we) started in September 2013. My, then, 7 year old daughter had chosen the DB as "her instrument". I decided it would be best if we took lessons together for at least the first year so I could help her at home. Gradually I became very enthusiastic myself about this "huge fiddle" and bought myself a bass.

Since September 2014 my daughter, also still in love with the DB, and I take separate lessons in which I mainly focussed on arco, classical music and getting the basics in order.

Since september 2017 I'm exploring the pizzicato side of DB playing learning about walking bass etc. I also started to fiddle around with bass guitar.
