Thank you for your answers. I think that it would be worth to spend the extra money and go for the G5n. The price difference isn't that massive. One thing that really annoys me with the GT-1 is that while the unit itself is cheaper, it doesn't come with a power adapter and the original Boss one...

Oh, and another quick question (sorry for borrow-bumping this thread again :P ) Did anyone by chance compare the Zoom G5n with the Boss GT-1, how would they compare (apart from the obvious physical differences :) )? Thanks

Fair enough. I'll get the G5n and pair it with some studio monitors for reference. If a need for higher volumes will come, I'll get a bigger, more powerful PA speaker. Thanks again for your help :)
