@GIBrat51 @Lowbrow I cut a piece of microfibre cloth to size, stuck it in between the tailpiece and body and.... no change at all, the buzz is as intense as ever. No kind/amount of damping of the tailpiece/strings behind the bridge changes much. Only the overtones and sustain of the buzz...

This is something I actually wanted to try, but I thought, if jamming a piece of dense foam under the strings behind the bridge didn't change much, that also won't. Gonna give it a try and report! If this should not fix the issue, I'll probably go for this here and find a drill stand: T6 Four...

Well that's common practice in germany, dunno how it is elsewhere. People here order 7 basses just to keep one and even write it in the review on the site they ordered them from, nothing special here but keep blaming me lol.

There aren't to many music shops where I live and the shipping was free so that was the easiest way to get my hands on a p-bass. Don't know what OP stands for but I got it shipped by DHL. There is no damage on the outer or inner package, nor on the bass or the bag containing the wrench. Dunno...

I wish I had a recording of how they sounded new! Using them almost every day makes it hard to notice the tonal change but they are very dead indeed.
