Yes, but like the other guy, you are using a pair. What I'm wondering is if a single is enough. I like my setup to be as simple as possible these days. I'll get just one if I can get away with just one.

That's a very nice rig! How do you like the WD-800 through the cab? How loud can a single Super Compact go? Like in terms of a traditional 4x10?

Scooped strings seem to be a good call. Hi-Beams are scooped yet they are easy on the fingers. I wonder if anyone has them on their Masterman.

Thanks for the string recommendations. I'd try all of these if bass strings aren't so darn expensive. I'm not going to raise the action though. It came from the store higher than now but the slapped notes got so much louder than the fingered notes it was unworkable for me without a compressor.

Yeah, they are unforgiving. Funny thing is, the clank on the Thumb (I used to play a BO) doesn't bother me as much. It sounds to me it's concentrated at a higher range than almost any bass you can name while the growl is concentrated at a lower range. Short of making actual frequency response...

I love how this bass sounds for the most part, but the "clank" can be excessively prominent at times. I know the treble knobs have enough range to dial it out completely but then all the highs get taken out along with it. I have DR Lo-Riders on. I wonder what strings do you guys use.

Is it true that DG cab sims are only available on line out and headphones and not speaker out? Many bass cabs these days are close to frfr. It may not be a bad idea to give them some flavor.

Sounds about right for a passive Corvette. I scored a German 2006 bubinga Corvette fretless 4 for $679 with shipping. The problem with Warwicks from around mid-2000 is the Just-A-Nut II and the tuners are both trash. If they are not broken already, they will sooner or later. Ask the seller...

Bumping this. There are > 500 people online right now. The shape of the curve is forming but the current sample size is too small. Once again, this poll is looking for the actual G string height as measured on your bass. Not what your idealized preference is (unless they are the same number)...

Judging by the replies, there seems to be some misunderstanding of what the poll question is asking. The question is what is the actual G string height on your bass, not what the ideal string height you wish the G string could be. I hope this clears things up.

So far, the distribution is extremely fat-tailed.

I assume most of you would have got the nut slot height taken care of if you were not happy with it. If not, that IS the height you are playing and that is what SHOULD go on the poll.

Update: I'm now allowing multiple votes for those of you who have multiple basses with different string actions.
