Influences and Teachers
Influences: I have to give a lot of credit to Dan Briggs from Between The Buried And Me. He has really helped me become a better bass player, trying to emulate everything from his god-like layering to his fine touch and dynamics. I try to take influence from anyone though, from Chris Squire, to Geddy Lee, Garry Willis and more modern bassist's such as Dan Briggs and Lori Peri from the The Safety Fire. Here and there I see some very inspirational people show up on Youtube too, giving me some mojo. Talent is everywhere.
Teachers: I have to give credit to Mike Crocker. He only taught me for a short few years, starting on the guitar and progressing onto the bass, but the time I spent with him helped to start me off and definitely progressed my playing technique and knowledge of music theory.
