    Your American Standard friend #161 has so much character. Just finishing off this one from 1962 I think. Someone had painted it badly so I removed it down to what might be original finish and French polished it.

    Three more Kay M1's rejuvenated, rebuilt, restored, re-fixed. The '58 on left was a complete restoration which now boasts new ebony fingerboard, ebony tailpiece and French polish. Sounds incredible.

    Double Bass Loud D string

    You can put a weight on the D string behind the bridge and it will act as a mute. The closer the weight is to the bridge, the more mute action. You can buy them for bass or just grab a weight out of your fishing tackle box.
