Just found a used reissue Mustang bass, made/crafted in Japan, like new condition for $450. Is this a good short scale bass? Is $450 a good deal? Does this Mustang have a good pickup? I'm also considering a Danelectro Longhorn reissue. How does it compare to this Mustang? Thanks for your help!

The GK MB212 combo seems to be highly recommended for a powerful, lightweight combo and I need something very lightweight. Is there another combo or head/cabinet that you recommend for the same price, about $500 used?

I've decided I just don't like the GK MB210 so I don't want to carry it and another cabinet. I definitely want a head and lightweight cabinet. How about a used GK 700RB for $299?

A Markbass head would be great but I haven't seen used one for $300 or under.

I'm considering the GK MB212 because it's louder with more headroom than the MB210 and is still lightweight. But I thought maybe I could get something better (more powerful?) for the money going with a head and cabinet? That NEW Fender Rumble 350 head looks like a great deal for the money.

I like GC for their used items and to be able to try out new guitars, amps and equipment and that's it. I prefer to buy from and support locally owned stores. When all the GC stores sprang up years ago, many locally owned music stores closed. If GC closed it's stores, locally owned music stores...

But the Ampeg BA112 is only 50 watts? I've been considering the GK MB112-II, GK MB115-II, used MB212, or a used Markbass Mini CMD121P to keep it in my price range.

GC has too many stores and those stores have to compete with their own website. Also, not enough profit from their stores because of their overhead and low profit margins. Musicians Friend has a better business plan - Internet sales without the overhead that stores incur.
