    Recording Mac

I meant no hostility, sorry if it came off that way. However, apples support of firewire will not dissapear until they adopt an alternative prior to doing so. This stupid stunt with the macbooks hopefully costed them quite a few sales.

    Recording Mac

You are incorrect, the Macbooks, Not Macbook pros have no firewire. Besides most drives that have firewire also have esata, with the exception of some lacies.

    Recording Mac

IF YOUR BUYING A MAC MINI PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT ON APPLE FORUMS BECAUSE THERE IS A HARDWARE CHANGE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!! (sorry for shouting) Seriously, I'm an audio production student (senior) and just purchased a mac last September for audio production specifically. Being a PC...

my music video of a political nature

Although I think if a band focuses on politics, I tend to respect something that makes you think or is more clever/overt. That aside, Utilize better lighting for your "live" shots. Shadowy can be cool, but some of your shots are just too low of exposure. With low budget stuff I use those shop...

    palm muting playing finger style?

Thanks for all the input! My instinct is to do what Ampeg SVT mentioned; to quick switch my hand position to a pick style (without a pick of course) and palm mute like I do while playing guitar (actually using my right hand palm). However I've found that it's a stark difference in tone as soon...

    palm muting playing finger style?

hey all, As the name alludes to, I'm a long time guitarist that is absolutely loving playing bass. (so much so I hope to someday identify as a bassist foremost) Anyway, as a guitar player I have always used a pick, but I decided from the get go I would play finger style only. So far its...

Question for you Short Scale experts

Just wanted to add that you will be pleased with the quality of the Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro. The electronics are clean, no crackling from the pots. The tuning machines catch a lot of criticism from reviewers, but in all honesty mine hold a tune plenty good. I still am going to swap them out for a...

Question for you Short Scale experts

The Ibanez GSRM20 is also worth consideration. I have a white one of these and choose it after playing a bronco at guitar center. Great finish, fretwork, quality for its price. Much better tonal range than a bronco by far. But be aware that the GSRM20 is 28.6" scale as opposed to the common...
