I played seriously in high school and college in concert orchestra, concert band, several rock bands, fill in bass work with several bands, and college pep band. Had good sight reading skills AND READ MUSIC WELL Quit when I went into the Army and eventually sold all of my gear. Kept following equipment and studies different bass players' bass lines and then decided to start bass again at 68 after retirement. I understand so much more about the theory of bass playing and stopped using a pick---only finder pick-------so I am more sophisticated in my theory of bass playing and study
