Billy Cordell Rickenbacker in Kyuss Lives?

Did Santa deliver you a lump of coal stacker? It's certainly shaped like a Rickenbacker, but there are no models on their site that are built like his bass. So it's a completely legitimate question, as far as I can tell? You seem to take a shot at my grammar, but everything looks pretty...

Billy Cordell Rickenbacker in Kyuss Lives?

Fast forwarded to a rare appearance of our bass player (it's a great show but the recording goes 4 minutes in a row only on drums / singer / guitar, yeesh!) Anyway, that Richenbacker is amazing. Anyone have any details on the model?

    Buying Basses from Amazon?

Very happy with my experiences thus far. I ordered an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro from them. Arrived with a terrible buzz through my speaker, so I asked Amazon for a replacement. They sent me a replacement overnight, which was great. Returning the original Thunderbird was free as well...

Cheapish 4 string for C or B tuning?

Hey all, I'm interested in picking up a cheaper 4 string to have tuned down to C and occasionally B. Any recommendations for a cheaper bass that would handle thicker strings? I've got a set of Heavy D'Addario's (55/75/90/110) but maybe I'll want thicker? I've heard Thunderbirds...

Problem w new Epi Thunderbird Pro

It's not very cool to admit, but I picked the TBird up off Amazon. But I just registered a return and I'll get a replacement by tomorrow morning, and they'll pick the broken one up for free. Hard to argue with that.

Problem w new Epi Thunderbird Pro

Thanks a ton all. While I'm huge computer nerd, I'm not much with electronics. And I'm not too excited to be cracking open my brand new, 2-hour-old-to-me $400 bass (not that $400 is the end of the world, but.. I do expect it to work reasonably well). I'll probably just return it (no cost...

Problem w new Epi Thunderbird Pro

Hey all, In a moment of weakness I purchased a Epiphone Thunderbird Pro from an online retailer. I really love my Epi SG-3 and was looking at a Thunderbird to put a bit heavier strings on and use for lower tuned songs. The Thunderbird Pro has active pickups, which is my first experience...

    Cheap, decent, six string

My lady friend purchased a 6 string ESP LTD from Guitar Center with a really beautiful looking wood finish for $420 or so. Its the only 6 string I've ever played, but it is fun. The neck seems massive at the higher end of the scale but it is fun having that B string!
