I would love some feedback on my new band's first demo!

dontay: That's not a bad idea, actually. A female harmony or double could give that chorus a powerful ambiance. Thanks! chuck norriss: Yep. Was wondering how noticeable that was. My roommate's guitar has been through some rocky roads and, after listening to the recordings, we realized that...

I would love some feedback on my new band's first demo!

I just reached the point where I've spent the last 4 hours tweaking the mix of these recordings and, as far as I can tell, I haven't improved anything. That's usually the point where I say "f--- it, good enough" and put them online, so here they are: Jolly Big Head - Band Profile | Facebook...

We tried a little harder this time: New song, new recording.

Bump. I know people have listened to the song...what do ya think?

We tried a little harder this time: New song, new recording.

Well, I got some good feedback last time, so I'll do it again. My band just put up a new recording on our myspace; if you have time, please check it out here and let me know what you think: Link Removed It's the top song, titled "Pilfered Pistol." BTW, I sing lead vocals on it too, so be...

My band's first recording. Tips and feedback very welcome.

We've put some new songs up on our page, Link Removed . The playing and recording quality is still fairly poor, maybe worse than before, but we just wanted to give people an idea of what we're up to. We plan on going through and recording all our many songs to a much higher standard later...

My band's first recording. Tips and feedback very welcome.

That's kinda cool to hear. We don't talk about it or really plan on it, but I think all of us, when we write our songs, try to create a sound that's a little different than most of what you hear on the radio. Though, a side effect of this may be, as the first reply touched on, this might lead us...

My band's first recording. Tips and feedback very welcome.

(Edit: I've put new songs up. This original post was with regards to "The Moons..." song. Later posts will be relative to the song's that they're relative to.) Hi. My band recently bought a pile of recording equiptment that we're not entirely sure how to use best. We recorded a semi-sloppy...

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Well, my old 406 is a pretty small six string from what I understand, and I have no trouble slapping the **** out of it. Although larger string spacing might not hurt....but I definitely want to stick with a sixer - almost every song I play uses the B and the C string it seems. I can't do much...

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Yeah, I wish. Maybe if I ever get a proper job - but why would I want to do that? I'm actaully really interested in somebody's assesment of the TRB I linked to on craigslist - I've been able to find lots of reviews for TRB6Ps and IIs, but I can't seem to find any word on the plain TRB6s - is...

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Not sure if it's kosher to do this around here, but I want to choose one way or another this weekend, so: Bump.

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Also, I play 80% fast slap bass, in case that affects your advice. Thanks again!

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Size is no obsticle - I've got long arms and big ole hands - the SR406 feels pretty small to me, actually. Would I notice a significant upgrade going from 406 to 506? Worth the $650 over whatever it'd cost to replace my electronics? How would your BTB campare to the TRB I listed? Or both of...

Looking into buying a new six stringer....

Hi guys. For a while now I've been playing an old Ibanez SR406, and I've never played any other six string bass. So I'm really not too sure where I stand presently in terms of quality - I know the action seems pretty high (and can't go any lower without buzzing) compared to some four strings...
