    All depends on setup and sound. I play intermediate Yamaha basses. When I’ve played sessions, I have never had an issue with snobs. Keep pots clean, good strings, good direct box, and good attitude.

    Small bass moniter/amp for "acoustic" shows?

    Looked for a Fender used Bassman 100 floor monitor style. The new small TC Electronic sound pretty good as well. I currently use a Yorkville 100w. It has two channels. I use one for my bass and the second channel gets the monitor mix. I still need a DI which I have on my pedal board.

    Looking for a replacement similar to Fretmaster

    I used Dean Markley half/half then named changed to Fretmaster for years. Great strings. I've been using DR but would still like to find a closer match. Anyone have recommendations or similar like for the Fretmasters?
