Thanks! And just to verify for future questions: it’s the CN2 jumper on Little Marcus as well. Or to be perfectly honest: I just removed CN2 (and the ser/par) and it works. I have NO idea what CN2 does though.
Related question to Nicholox (or anyone else with a Little Marcus): did you move just the fxloop series/parallell jumper or any of the other ones as well? I found instructions for little mark models but they mention *two* jumpers and I'm not sure if that applies to Marcus as well (and if so...
Ibz SR506 from -96, bought it new and de-fretted instantly. Since then it's been somewhat modified: new bridge, Duncan Steve Bailey preamp, plek'd fretboard that's been CA-coated, D-tuner, LaBella black tape wounds and - obviously - a refinish.
Update: swapped leads on one of the pickups.
Pros - blending works
Cons - *massive* ground hum appeared, not present when wired the other way around.
Seems to be a quite common problem, ground hum with piezos that is.
Thank you both for input, I'll look into buffer solutions (Bart AG2PB would probably be perfect but a bit too expensive for testing).
Also, I'll absolutely try swapping hot/ground on one of the pups. The thought already crossed my mind but setting up the soldering station *again* just seemed...
Springs shouldn't be a problem, the pups I'm replacing probably have either springs or foam under them. Please check the shipping cost and we'll try to sort this - I'll most likely get to pay some sort of customs/vat so if shipping costs are to high it might not be worth it. Don't know if it's...
First of all, I'm perfectly aware that this is a bad idea and that it might be impossible to get it to work but then again the preamp was just lying in a drawer so I figured it was worth a try. Here's the deal:
I have an Ergo sixstring EUB that came with pretty lousy stock piezo pickup elements...
Just stumbled onto these: are they still available and, if so, would you consider shipping to Sweden? (Payment through Paypal in that case) Would be nice to try in my old Yamaha trb6.
