    E string uncoiling after month of playing

    well, 3 months ago i purchased a black silvertone electric bass guitar, uhh, my E string has uncoiled at the bottom where the pickups are, or bridge or w/e for the past few months, twice now ( im not too firmiliar with guitars ) anyway, why is this happening? are there any alternatives iether...
