Yeah I have a Big John (the version that has two 12v jacks though, can't remember the name..) which is powering all my pedals except my Whammy which is running on 1300mA and my Tri-Logic which is running on 18v. I'm trying to save some cash by using an adapter and not replacing my power supply...

Interesting indeed, I have actually never seen or heard of those! Do you know if there is an equivalent for the European market around? (I live in Sweden...)

I've had my ECB04 adapter replaced by the reseller, with the same result. I have tried the adapter on three different locations and through three different amps (old Fender Twin at home, new Fender Bassman at the rehearsal space and new Ampeg SVT-VR on stage) and I experience noise on all three...

A few days ago I received my new EWS Tri-Logic Bass Preamp II (yay), and as you say - it works like a charm when it's running on two 9V batteries, but when I plug it in to my Dunlop ECB004 18V adapter it creates a LOT of noise!! Funny thing is that the ECB004 is recommended by EWS themselves...
