I heard the gut sound, and I wan't to try it. :hyper: I know a shop where I can, but I have to wait until next year. I heard, that playing arco is a pain in the ass. Is it because of the bigger diameter/length ratio? This is the best arco sound I heard on gut:

Hi everyone! I bought a 30-year-old carved bass, which was manufactured in Romania. (but no label found inside it) I just love it's sound, it is full and deep, it's color is like dark chocolate, but I have a problem. First I noticed it only at nights, when the temperature was changing...

I thought Lajos Konya works with cellos, violins and violas, but I will ask him. I will need a new bag, if I want to carry it around. The one I own now is made out of synthetic leather, and doesn't protect much, the zippers are killed.
