    Does a 4-string bass become obsolete after picking up a 5-string?

    For me it depends on the song I’m playing at a gig I will switch back-and-forth between my 5 string and my four string. Some songs are easier to play on the 5 string. So no I do not think your 4 string will be obsolete. It does take a little time to get used to going back-and-forth between the two

    Thank you that’s what I did I figured it was safer they don’t make that quite clear on the instructions if you’re installing more than one pick up but since it was written as to installing one pick up that’s what are used works perfectly I’m very happy with them

    Then Instructions for wiring seem to be pretty straight forword. Red Wire to center of volume pot. Green wire to back of each volume pot. solder black and white wire together. My only question is since Im installing 2 pickups do all the whites and blacks get wired together.
