Thanks for your input. I was afraid of that but thought about the bridge to adjust the spacing. Even thought the same would happen with guild bisonics and I wouldn't want to spend 600 on 2 Novak pickups for a project... Any ideas of fender spacing pickups that would sound good on a semi? Lace...

I really like the sound of truly hollow basses like old kay's, and Hofners but I am not a fan of the 30'' scale, and I understand that without a sustain block it's hard to go hollow all the way with 34'' scale. Has anyone even seen a 32'' scale hollow bass?

It's close but not perfect. I would probably have to try it before painting it in case it's an issue and I have to change pickups.

I haven't concluded if I wan't an f hole yet. Thinking of not having one at all. Does it create feedback to the pickups in a loud situation? I 've seen guitar players duck tape them all the time. If I add an f hole I would place it like fender did in the Japanese model...
