Update - it may have helped a little. The curvature of the neck seemed better after applying the strings properly and tightening the rod. I still think it could be a bit better, so I'm going to apply more stress to the treble side of the neck for a few more days. G is tuned nearly up to C, and...

Whether you hate FB or loathe it, those neck decals aren't legit. I've seen those many a time, and with them, you'll see where the bass was made.

I think you need to hold off on anything until you try an older BB. I've owned a number of generations of BB, from a late 70's BB1200 through a BBP35 from a few years ago. My current BBs are a pair of BB415s which I like very much. They're kind of like a "Classic Vibe"-esque reissue of the 80's...
