I've about decided to buy the Markbass line for a head and probably the LMII. However, I see that the "flagship" in the TA503. I know it's about $500 more in price. I know the TA503 has a tube preamp. Has anyone compared the two with a good cabinet? I don't mind paying the extra money if it...

How does the TA503 sound compared to the LMII?? I don't need a lot of power for my needs. Is it worth the extra dough??

No real reason for the ultra light rig except I'm getting older and do move equipment around in the large room quite a bit.......I probably have over 20 guitar amps in all. The older I get, the lighter I like my amps/cabs.......and I've heard that these ultra light rigs compare quite faithfully...

Thanks for the reply!! Which do you think would be best suited for "classic rock" (Stones, Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc) and "pop rock" (Avril Lavigne, Train, Lifehouse, etc.) with a little blues and country/western thrown in as well.

Any more thoughts?? Apparently the Markbass cabs might need to also be considered based on the above as well as the AE410 and the UL2-410. I suspect someone has done a cab to cab comparison between the two (or three) with the LMII head??? Any help is greatly appreciated!
