Pretty sure in the doom Gods declaration of doom it clearly states if you are using a Mesa BB 750 for doom you must use the OD circuit or be subject to public stoning in the village square.

I have a hard time getting a good tone out of the OD circuit myself but I like the tone a lot when I don’t use that OD circuit.

Why do you need to short it out instead of just replacing it?
