Which would you upgrade first? An amp or a bass?

I would choose the bass first. The bass, and not the amp, is in direct touch contact with you, and when playing you always need the bass, but not always the amp (if you are recording at studio you can go to the mixer with a DI box, or playing live in a shared gig you can use the other band's...

    Quitting the band...now what

First of all, have a few days or weeks off to reorganize your personal life both in and out of music (the Vacation cruise would be cool!). Later, think what do you like about music and how do you feel it. And just then, decice your next steps (that are personal to you). A few ideas: · Join a...

    Mono Vertigo or cheaper?

I love Mono cases and bags. Copy-pasting from a recent post I just wrote: I use Mono bags, and can't be happier with them. They're not cheap but are bags and cases for the whole life (or at least decades). Not the lightest ones but light enough to carry around on your back, a really good...

Nowadays I always use Ernie Ball cables. Good cables, not the best ones but good and functional enough... but my main reason to use them is the flashy colours they have (fluor pink, orange, yellow, blue...). In the past I used to loose at least one cable on every gig so... not anymore! :bassist:

Two basses, one amp. What’s the best A/B pedal to switch between the two?

I use the BOSS LS-2 Line Selector. It's a sort of multi-tool. You can use it as a switch A-B (2to1, 1to2), as a mute pedal, as a booster, or combined with other pedals and the send-return channel and its different modes, as a way to mix the clean sound with the modified sound, or the mix of two...

    Breaking into the Gigging Circuit

I'm from Madrid, Spain, and here (and in most cities in Spain, I dunno how it works in the rest of Europe) some things are pretty similar but others are really different. The gig's ussual time is not 3-4 hours (or even closer, unless in a wedding or corporate event or something like that, that...
