What do you think made the difference ultimately ? Is it a "holistic" thing ? I mean for Strat players, for example, the Suhr models are just whole step up overall to the American Standards.

just the knobs and pickguard ? interesting... the Squier didn't sound so great with stock, so it needed a bit more :cool: I kept the original knobs, didn't see much point with those, other than cosmetics. Not against upgrading them at some point tho.

and how do you compare your results to other basses you have played? vs. a more expensive one for example

Greets guys, and gals A while back I bought a Squier precision off CL. I had the intention of replacing a lot of the stock hardware to see if it really mattered so much about the quality of the neck and body. I replaced the standard flimsy looking bridge with a badass hipshot, put in quarter...

Did you only have to pay postage? You seem happy with how it went, so I suppose it didn't cost a lot. I have an MKII with the same issue or so it sounds.
