What I meant is Fender calls the P-Bass pickup "Deluxe." I don't know what makes the pickup, itself, deluxe.

I like the block inlays on the American Deluxe Jazz Basses. However, I prefer the squarer body of the P Bass, and the versatility of the P/J pickup combo. Blending the two together is amazing.

That must depend on the GC store. I returned a Strat to them once that had bridge problems, and there it was on the "new" wall the next time I went in. I really hope a tech looked at it at the very least. I like buying from Sweetwater, or other retailers where you get a fresh-from-the-box...
