Thanks, I tried some better screws. I'm waiting on a clear coat touch up to dry. Then I'll try setting everything up again lol.

Makes' sense to me. I'm sure there's a lot of force being applied to the string retainer. At least I hope so anyways lol. My customers are picking the bass up on Satuday, so I gotta make sure everything's 100%.

Hi thanks. I believe I had at least 3 full wraps around the post on both. So if the strings were too high off the face of the headstock this may cause the problem?
