I have got an all American Lakland with the same problem on the B string. I doubt it has something to do with the bridge. What it is i do not know.

Hi there, I was wondering why some new 2008 fender am standard V string models (mostly Olympic white ones) have a string hold down bar on the headstock, an all the others have two "cirkels" that also hold the g-string. Are they both the new 2008 or is the one with the hold down bar from 2007...
