I got a classic guitar around 12, I taught myself to play reading a book (rback in the 80s information wasn't easy to get), then I got a Squier Strat and then I moved to electronic keyboards and finally I got bored and life kept me away from playing for +25 years.
A few years ago I started practicing away with an electronic piano, then I resumed practicing guitars (classical and acoustic), and finally I discovered the wonderful sensations of playing a bass.
I bought an acoustic bass (Ovation Celebrity) that was fanstastic for practicing, but not very suitable for recording, so I sold it to get an electric bass. I found a local bargain to get a J-bass that i love.
Coming from the guitar I can finger on the bass with some fluency, but my technique is lousy and poor, and i make so many unwanted ugly noises. I'm starting to learn the ropes from the scractch, muting strings etc.
I'm here to read, listen and learn.
