I have owned a number of MIJ basses and I always replaced the “Gotohs” with Hipshot HB10s. To me, the Gotohs’ tuning ratio is difficult to dial in and the Hipshot’s is ideal for thicker strings. Needles to say my Jr Collecion bass has Hipshots on it. I see a few MIM Fenders are now shipping...

This is like that as well. The V is just for the first couple of frets. Not sure if all Birdsong necks are that shape.

I've got a CORTO as well. (The AI spell checker won't let me type that in lower case!) Anyway, these are incredible basses. Mine has 2 Armstrong soap bars. The neck profile is unlike any other I've tried. Almost a V. Is your similar?

My 4004L is ruby red, but it doesn't look at all like my CAR Fender which is a much brighter shade.

My first Banshee was Pelham blue, and it looked more green than blue. When the carbon color came out I sold the blue and bought the gray. Loved the color and the bass. Then I sold it because it's what I do. According to the wife "wasting money buying and selling basses you only look at."...
