Are the Bartolini CBs a direct drop in the 605? I've skimmed through this thread and if they are, those and the Norstrand DC5 would be the ones that are confirmed to be drop ins for those interested. I'm not actively trying to swap those out yet on my 605, but it's nice to know we have options.

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

I was hoping not having to drill holes to install new pick-ups. It's also the first time I'm seeing soapbars with this layout, so I was genuinely curious. Although it was pointed out to me earlier that it's actually a bit more common than I thought.

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

Ha, I wish I had friends like you 😀 That's good to know, I was wondering about the "craftsmanship" in comparison to other basses in the same price range. Every comments I read say it's good, at least for the price. Though I've seen some people say Sire's offer higher quality than Thoman's for a...

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

I haven't gotten the bass yet. I'm planning on getting it and wondering how easy it would be to replace the pickups if I ever feel the need to down the line. The mounting screws are laid out in an unusual way, which means no direct drop-ins. Hence my question. I have a 3 band Glockenklang...

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

Interesting. It's the first one I've seen with 4 mounting screws. Learning something new every day. From my research, the newer version of these pickups is about 108.5 mm. Not sure if it's the same shell however. How did you like the BZ-4000 NT? Did you do any upgrades to it?

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

I was hoping not to have to drill holes, but I guess that would be my only option. As you've mentioned, could be just a very small issue in the end. I can't for the life of me find anything about the dimensions. Their website lists the TV-SB2 as the closest match for a 5 string, so not an exact...

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

Thanks. Good point, it seems as though these pickups might have been made specifically for this bass. The previous version had in house "custom wound" pickups.

I bought the most expensive Harley Benton bass (BZ-6000 II NT)

Bit of a shot in the dark, but does anyone know the dimensions for the soapbars in the 5 string version? The newer ones have 4 mounting screws - one at each corner, which is a bit odd. Most soapbars I can find either have 3 or 2 mounting screws.

Odd number of pickup mounting screws on this Harley Benton

I'm looking to purchase my first 5 string bass and have my eyes set on the Harley Benton BZ-5000 NT II. Great looking bass with an affordable price tag and good reviews, but there's not a lot of information about it on the world wide web. In particular, I'm looking at the pickups and wondering...
