I'm a double & electric bassist for jazz / interesting-other music (folk, blues, country, avant-garde, theatre-involved, w.h.y.) in Hertfordshire (I'm in St. Albans).
I play in a piano trio, a drummer-less small jazz band, an occasional covers band, and the St Albans Jazz Ensemble big-band (STAJE).
I also enjoy good folk, country, pop, and original projects.
I'm a better reader than busker, but most comfortable with Real Book style charts (initially).
My aim is to enjoy playing locally with like-minded souls, and build a reputation as a reliable resource.
I've family including a 15-year old, am not interested in doing one-nighters in Swindon and Derby any more. My aim is to enjoy playing locally with like-minded souls, gain a reputation as a reliable resource, and build on that. I have good gear, and transport.
