Enesco Romanian upright bass, circa 1930's. 3/4 size. Thomastick Spirocore strings, David Gage Realist transducer pick-up. Genz Benz 1200 head, David Eden 4x10 cab, also Epifani 2x10 cab. Avalon U5 preamp.

Contemporary Gospel music, Jazz, Fusion, gypsy hot jazz, Klesmer, R&B, neo soul, I love Funk, Afro Beat, I LOVE dance-hall Reggae. Anything with a great groove, and tight drum & bass pocket. Even a tad of punk rock and metal.

Gigs and Ensembles

Main gig is praise & worship at churches, casino gigs with a couple cover bands, sometimes country gigs (if pay is high enough), jazz trio at local restaurants, studying at ULL and majoring in Jazz Studies, concentration in Upright bass performance

Ibanez Sound gear 4-string, Ibanez Artcore 4-string, Peavey Cirrus 4-string neck-thru, and a handmade fretless five-string with olymbic pick-ups I should've never sold.

Influences and Teachers

My main bass mentor is Chris French, a well-known bassist here in South Louisiana. He's studied at Berkeley for the upright bass, and is a phenomenal teacher here, as well as a great musician community member that seeks to better the youth's musicianship and the musical community as a whole here in our area. HE plays with may groups, including Roddie Romero and the Hub-City All-stars. I'm currently studying under Dr. Robert Nash.
