If you read the first page of this thread it states the pf 800 had issues. Also multiple people are replying to it commenting on their pf 800 also cutting out. Its a crap shoot. Im glad yours works, wish mine did. Just not reliable

Consider yourself lucky. There are plenty of complaints and problems with these heads where you can see an obvious QC problem with their build. Im not saying there are not heads that will work out there, im saying there is enough of a problem with them where your purchase is a gamble.

I purchased one from Musicians friend and it worked great for practicing. Gigs it clipped out often. Sent it back and got another PF-800 head and it did the exact same thing. These amps are not reliable. They cut out and clip when driven hard. Ampeg knows this. I called and talked to customer...
