    Do you mean I should be able to get vintage out of the pups that are on the bass or the SD? I don't neccessarily mind the sound on the bottom three strings so maybe pups are not the answer?

    Hi. I would like to switch the pups on my 2011 Am Standard 5 string P-Bass. I'm not happy with the tone or volume of the A & G strings. I play mostly blues so I like a vintage Fender sound. Something like Jamerson. Any suggestions on replacements? Would the SD QP5 be a good choice? Thanks
