i got the head from musiciansfriend and contacted them already for a replacement. i got the cab directly from germany

The piezo tweeter still works. It's a traveler 151p btw. i used it again yesterday on another rehearsal with lower volumes and didnt shut down. No 'distorty' sound coming from the cab so i think it's still good

Sounds good. I think im gonna get a matching cab today. So is that normal on markbass heads/cabs to cut out when being pushed too much? Just want to clarify if my brand new head is NOT defective. It's my first time to encounter that on any amps ive used.

Just got an email from Riccardo (markbass) and said also the same thing about overpowering the cab. Is adding another cab will somewhat resolve the issue? So for the head it's gonna be 800watts at 4ohm? Two cabs will make it 4ohm right? Then how many watts will the cab take each?

you might be right. Cause i just used it again on a rehearsal today and it didnt shut down this time. Still confused if i got a defective head or not.

Yeah lll probably return it for a new one and if it does that again, might need one more cabinet

Right now im using it again and it works as it should. And yeah i want to know what's really is the problem.
