    Ibanez Musician fretless fretboard?

    Well done everyone. I was wrong, the fretboard is ebony . Also my bass is an MC940L and dates from march 1981. It's having the neck refinished and I'm looking forward to getting it back next week. Thanks for all your help and interest.

    Ibanez Musician fretless fretboard?

    I have an Ibanez Musician fretless (MC924L - 1982 i think). Can anyone tell me what the fretboard is made of? I seem to remember being told it was some kind of hi tech resin.

    Flatwounds and Effects: How do you cope?

    I started using Rotosound Solo Bass to avoid wear on my fretless . These are "ground wound" - round wound rolled fat - and play more like flats but with more of the top end you get with rounds.
