More or a rehabilitation I suppose, bought this May ‘67 refin husk and it’s got a combination of vintage, reissue, reproduction, and new parts on it. The bridge pickup surround is from a 1962 4000. Definitely a players grade vintage bass, but that’s exactly the kind of instrument I love!

Sounds like a Rose Morris 3261 (the export model version of the 4005).

Never! She’s defintely made short work of the tolex on both of them. I just let them be her outlet, better the amps than the instruments.

I removed the teeth (+ ledges) and screws on an allparts bridge I had on the white 4000. I also had the spacing tightened up a little. Was able to palm mute perfectly and felt right at home on it. I unfortunately needed to sell it to fund some veterinary bills as another creature also needed...

Just sold my 3000 so I no longer have any Rickenbackers after having sold two other Rick basses last year. Hopefully that deluxe 4001 with the giant pickguard becomes a standard model, I'd love to re-enter the Rick world again someday when the time is right!

I'm not seeing it anywhere on the desktop or mobile version either.
