    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

    I hope so.

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

Unless the final design drawings I get from Mark really push me over the edge on my GAS, I'll think I'll just wait another two years and get something really high-end like a Sei.

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

Answered it earlier in the thread, WMI are impossible to get hold of.

I also wish they were paid well. Whilst us Westerners may all benefit from cheap foreign labour, it's so sad to think that it's due to exploitation. But SK does seem to pay fairly well. I've found out that the stock pickups are, unfortunately, pretty bad. The bridge is fine though.

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

It's definitely WMI, no idea who'll be making it, but it'll definitely be a small team of luthiers with special knowledge on these huge basses.

This bass doesn't come with Delanos though, it comes with the Korean stock pups. In terms of it being an ETS bridge, I don't think it is, again, I think it's generic monorail single bridge pieces.

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

No, that's very true, but they all use Hipshot or ABM and Schaller, and this is just Korean stock stuff.

Curtis is absolutely amazing, one of the few who makes really good ERB music. Scott Fernandez, Jean Baudin (especially Jean), Curtis Reilley, and Yves Carbonne are the only players I've heard making really good music on more-than-7 string basses.

If I do decide on any higher tier luthier, I'll have to save up for at least another year, maybe two.

The World Musical Instrument factory are really, really, really hard to get hold of. No idea why, there's only one unverified phone number linked to then online. It's worth a shot trying. But at the same time, Mark gives them this super detailed design plan (like you might've seen earlier in...

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

I'm curious - what makes it not look like a $3000 bass? I mean, I think out of all the RMI basses ever made, one with such a gorgeous top and finish is the most 'boutique' looking bass.

    $3000 for a custom Korean-made ERB...?

Well, all ERB players have to take a leap of faith when ordering such large custom basses, and this is cheaper than most player's choices when it comes to 8+ string ERBs. It's also got the monorail-style bridge set-up. In terms of the wiring options, that is actually an option, but I talked to...

Yeah, I think a Stambaugh might be a few hundred dollars more. I'm having a really hard time trying to find a way to contact Maruszczyk, what's the best way of doing it?

It's a totally different instrument though, and I hate the look of it.
