    Yeah ill just change out the tubes once i get the money haha. But who knows what it is, but in the 4 ohm socket although its not muffled at all.

    I have a Fender Bassman 135, not super, it was manufactured in the later weeks of 1970 (if that helps). But i checked the back and they both said 4 ohms. I plugged it in anyways and i got alot of muffled sound and not much louder at all. Probably a case of a crappy cab im thinking, not to good...

    eh thats about all really wanted, already it sounded louder than my other head. Other head was alot lower quality, Gallien Krueger Backline 600, things EQ didnt even do anything! i think i like tubes alot better haha

    Yeah i have a Backline 4x10BLX-II Gallien krueger cab (kinda crappy). It runs at 8 ohms, so now i guess im hoping it will sound much better and louder on the ext. speaker. Thanks much willie.

    I recently bought a fender bassman 135 and in the process also traded my GK backline 600 for it which was 4 ohms. I still have the cab that came with it (Backline 410 BLX-II), and i kinda assumed it was also 4 ohms. But its 8 ohms. its loud, but im wondering if i get an actually 4 ohm 4x10 cab...

    well i think it sounds great..better than having a solid state gallien krueger backline 600...i like the tube sound better...but yeah i have 2 ruby tubes and 2 groove tubes(6L6b), and uh the other 3 are also groove(i forgot what they were called haha).

    haha sorry my bad i was really tired when i wrote this...i am using a Gallien Krueger Backline X-II. My guitarist said that it may be the problem because it is a pretty cheap cab.

    I recently bought a fender bassman 135, and i really liked the tone and such. But when i brang it to my band practice it wasnt as loud as my recent amp head which was a gallien krueger backline 600. Granted, it sounds much better at higher levels. I was just wondering if i changed the tubes out...
