Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Four)

The serial number for the one I am looking at is 941368. No letter in front of it. It is on the top of the headstock on a see through sticker (this is how the seller described it).

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Four)

Were Aria Pro SB 1000 basses ever made outside of Japan? I can find no information on that. I do see that some Aria models were made in Korea but not the SB 1000. I did find some information that post Matsumoku production moved to a factory in Japan that was simply referred to as the "special...

Are Rotosound RS77LD strings safe for my Fender Jazz Bass?

I want to thank you all for your comments and advice, I really appreciate it, and I am learning a lot! So here's the latest update. I got the Fender flatwounds (45-100) today and put them on my Jazz bass. I know they're new, and I just put them on, but I like what I am hearing so far. They...

Are Rotosound RS77LD strings safe for my Fender Jazz Bass?

Will do. I will clean them with isopropyl alcohol before I install them. I've heard of doing that in the past. I've also heard of some players boiling their strings. Never tried that. But I ordered the Fenders and look forward to hearing how they sound.

Are Rotosound RS77LD strings safe for my Fender Jazz Bass?

Yes, I was thinking about that. I was looking at that Fender flatwound set which are 45-100 which would be a little less tension. The LaBella strings look good too. Do you have any preferences between these two brands?

Are Rotosound RS77LD strings safe for my Fender Jazz Bass?

Thank you for the information. What I am seeing here is D'Addario's would be harder on a neck than Rotosounds?

Are Rotosound RS77LD strings safe for my Fender Jazz Bass?

Hello, New bass player here. I have a Fender 62 Reissue Jazz Bass made in Japan. I put a set of Rotosound flatwound RS77LD 45-105 Jazz Bass Strings on it. I really like them. But what concerns me is all the references I read on this forum about Rotosound strings "taxing" the truss rod, or...

    Should I change my strings?

Hi, I purchased a new Fender Precision Bass in 1997 and I have never changed the strings. Am I missing out on potentially better tone by not changing the strings? Bass is not my primary instrument and I have never played another bass besides mine so I have nothing to compare it with. Are...
