I don't think so. I have a couple of JV Squire P basses, and they don't have any stamps like this one. Still leaning towards the body being a lawsuit, mij, or whatever to call it, due to the pickup spacing, but honestly a bit confused now. Should I try to remove the paint in the neck pocket?

Thanks. Yes I'm leaning towards that too - also looking at the routing someone could have cut out a chunk next to the neck pup (to fit a battery?) and later added a block of wood with a straight edge, leaving only half of the drill bit holes. It's a mighty fine refin, though, very nice around...
